The EMI/RFI should be significantly reduced if the board is enclosed in a metal project box (aluminum or steel) and all signals grounded to the box, including of course the main board ground. Also use a shielded cable between coco and board, board and monitor. I've always used a cable TV cable with adapters from the composite output of the CoCo, that makes a huge difference.
