[Coco] Programming help

This is one of the programs listed in the Sept 1985 issue (text p28,
programs are on p46-49) of Hot Coco, to test the Banker 256 memory upgrade.
Listing 1 works well, but I cannot get listing 2 & 3 to work. I haven't even
attempted to type in listing 4, though

It's been a long time since I did any 6809 assembler, but at first glance 
this looks like it doesn't do anything useful; switches in roms, reads 3 
bytes, switches out roms, then continues to execute whatever's in memory 
after line 150!?!

What are yo trying to do?
