[Coco] CF Card Question

I'm physically checked the CF cards and they are indeed original and 
authentic Sandisk 256mg cards.
Repeated reads from the cards, gives the same data
What it might be (but have no other thing to check) is that that I have 
a USB to CF adapter (Best Buy item) that could be the problem. Tomorrow 
I will access a HP WinXP desktop that has the CF slots built in and see 
if that makes a difference. If not, the cards go off to Mark, as he was 
gracious enouhg to help.
