[Coco] Coco 1 263-3001 just goes to 'ok' prompt when turned on

It's been quite a few years, but I'm pretty sure I remember that
holding down reset for a long time resulted in memory deterioration.
Someone with a real CoCo available can easily test this:  load a
longish Basic program into memory, then hold down the reset button for
30 seconds or so.  If the program still lists correctly, then my
memory is mistaken.
