I could swear, though, that there was another set of pokes for the
same table that was supposed to help with fussy cloads by adding a
little more slack... But I can't find it. :-(

I think it was discussed when we were talking about the tape2disk
utility included with Color FOG?  No time to do a full search of the
list archive now, I gotta work tomorrow so I need to goto sleep.
