That doesn't make much sense Bill. A P4 will run MSDOS as easy as a PIII or older. Might as well get as much cheap computer as you can. No point in getting a dual core machine unless you want to dual boot MSDOS and Linux or a newer version of Windows (not sure if the later is even possible, but easy enough to do with Linux).

I see you're on "carolina.rr". North or South Carolina? I'm in SC, not far from Lexington. I have an old HP Pavillion 4450 w/366 MHz Celeron you can have for shipping, or come pick up if you're close enough. That would be great for what you want to do. I have a small hard drive (4.2GB) and I think I have some RAM for it (not sure if I have any old enough, and the board is empty right now). You can pull the CD-ROM and stick a card reader in the single 5.25" slot if you can find one with MS-DOS drivers. Has two USB ports and even a real serial port on the back (also parallel printer and built-in VGA port).
