And you've found noone else with one of those machines?!?

Did you try the classiccmp mailing list, and vintage-computer.com forum?

Subject: [Coco] SECAD BIOS woes

Some of you may remember about 2 years ago, that I mentioned that the BIOS ROM in my SECAD AS-68K (OS9/68K) had failed.

Since then I have had no luck in trying to get the original designer to come to my aid, and now I'm thinking to try to compare the BIOS ROMs of other such computers to see if I can work out how the BIOS operates.

One such machine would be the PT-68K, since it is very similar to the AS-68K, in that it supports IBM-XT style I/O boards. My own MM/1 is also a source of information.

I would love to hear from people who were involved in the writing of the BIOS of either of these units, or who could at least allow me to have copies of the BIOS ROM.

I am still hopeful of getting the old girl back on the rails, so to speak, and continuing the development of the IDE hard disk driver, which I started, but never completed.
