[Coco] OT: Who wants an Alpha?

Loved those SGIs... At one time, I had (2) Octanes, (2) Octane2's, (4) O2's, (2) Indigos, (4) Indigo2s, about a half-dozen Indy's, most the R5000SC (not PC),
and who know what else. Coolest thing i had was an Onyx with RE2 gfx trimmings, and a dual-Origin200 setup with quad CPUs and the chassis interconnect.

Never was much into HP PA workstations (HATES HP-UX) Sun I got tired of by 1998 (from there I jumped to the DECstation 5000's) and SGI after that.
I used to get the SGIs at the NASA auctions at KSC, and from a friend with a recycling company here in So Fla.

For me, my favorite machines, outside the CoCo, will probably always be the SGIs. I may still try to get another Onyx2 full gfx setup one day, IR2 maybe, or
whatever the Onyx2 had for gfx. Still have tons of media images (Irix and apps) for Irix 5.3, 6.1, and 6.5 flavors.

Tony

Well, that was just the DEC systems. The previous month, a friend came
and hauled away all my SGI, IBM Risc and HP boxen.
