PC drives, actually the ribbon cable, flip address lines and the Coco does not. That means unless a 3.5" drive has a drive select setting switch, you need to use it as drive#1 rather than drive#0.
If you want to use a non-adjustable 3.5" drive as drive#0 on a Coco, you must cross connect the 0 & 1 address lines in the ribbon cable or use some other equivalent technique.
