Thanks for the pointer.  I've created a few simple programs but am now wanting a tape drive or something to save them!  

I think this puppy is really old.  I tried the simple program in the manual.  

the very first line generates a syntax error:
5  PMode 1,1

When I boot it up the startup screen reports Color Basic 1.1. c 1980 by Tandy
  Does anybody know if the manual for my specific version is available online?
