[Coco] noswiz doesn't work for me...

Christopher,

As far as the wizard's concerned, you'll find most of the information
I've written about it in the os9l2.txt included in the wizard's binary
release.  The documentation in CoCoBoot's source is more detailed
about CoCoBoot itself.

Basically, the wizard needs to know:
1. Where your bootable OS9 RBF filesystem is at.
2. Where you wish to clone CoCoBoot and the wizard to (I'm calling it
the "target")
3. Where you have booted the wizard from (I'm calling it the "source")

The target can be a Drivewire disk, a real floppy disk, or SuperIDE
Flash ROM.  Your target can be your source too.

The wizard will create a copy of itself with the entered OS9
information, but will change its behaviour to try to boot OS9 from
your choosen filesystem before running the wizard again.

When you reboot, there's only a few standard places the CoCoBoot
Kernel will look for the rest of the boot system at:

RAM - this is how the "nos.wav" cassette loading works.....
ROM - This is the Flash ROM
HDB on IDE (not DW) drive 6 - *** this only works under special
circumstances ****
DriveWire drive 0
Floppy Drive 0

If you use DW version 4.0.4, CoCoBoot will also tell the DW server to
look for a disk image called "CoCoBoot.isave" in DW's home path on the
server too.  (this way you can have a RBF filesystem in DW Drive 0,
AND expect CoCoBoot to find the wizard without having to switch
disks!!!! -  stock DW Nitros9's set /dd to be /x0 so you can see the
problem there!)

Willard is reporting some problems with CoCoBoot finding the Glenside
IDE interface.  CCB works with SuperIDE, no problems.  I was under the
impression that SuperIDE was identicle to  Glenside's interface.
Maybe a hardware guru can chime in here. But here's some potential
problems:

CoCoBoot only supports LBA Mode IDE drives.
CoCoBoot only supports Glenside controllers using the default "0xff50"
io addresses.
