Thanks - it has a lot to do with me too. I remember carrying him around on
my shoulders when he was little. I know those days are gone - it's one thing
we can never get back - those infant years. Those are some of the best
memories of my life. By getting him that building - we now have a place
where, carrying an infant on a shoulder is replaced by us spending time
together and working together - just being a family. Plus, he has somehow
managed to rekindle my interest in this old equipment - I had forgotten how
much fun it was - I know that my son enjoys it immensely and now, I've been
bitten by that bug again. Although I don't have a whole lot of time to
devote to the projects (my son spends what I once felt was an unhealthy
amount of time, hours on end, working with this stuff - I wish I had that
kind of time to devote to it myself.) But a lot of what I'm doing stems from
a desire to be able to spend more time with that child of mine. Plus, I have
also, since I've been filling in for him, had an opportunity to "meet" new
people and even share a bit of knowledge with some of them. It feels good.
Thanks for your kind words.
