Tandy never supported anything other than Single-Sided 35 Tracks under DECB
for the entire life of the CoCo. The FD-502 was actually the only
double-sided drive ever offered by Tandy for the CoCo and they supported it
as up to DSDD 40T under OS-9 Level 2, although OS-9 L2 was SSDD 35T out of
the box. I would therefore assume that the DriveWire protocol was limited to
the normal SSDD 35T for maximum compatibility with machine language
programs, etc.
