FTDI besides making Serial to USB devices also make a chip called Vinculum and
VinculumII. Both are USB host as well as USB client. It also access USB drives via
FAT16/FAT32 in 8.3 format. Long file names are not supported. M$ proprietary and requires
royalties to M$.
Still a useful chip as it can be accessed via FIFO method. The FIFO holds I think 256 bytes.
