[Coco] New CoCo site for programmers

Yeah well there are those that are hard to impress and you'll never get a
compliment from them no matter how hard you try.
No one is asking for people to just 'blow smoke' lol.
But as a community of people all linked by a common interest, should be not
encourage those having a go?
Who know's with a bit of support those people could be the next Sock Master
or Nick Marentes.
Or maybe that's what worries them :D

I don't think I missed anything. I see people encouraging, dreaming and
praising here all the time. I also see people questioning what or why
someone is doing or wants to do something, and that's ok too.
There's a lot going on in the world besides the CoCo, so some efforts may
not get the attention that someone whould like, but that doesn't mean
people don't care. People may not have the time to read each and every post
in detail, or they may not have interest in certain efforts. I personally,
wouldn't want people blowing smoke up my butt just to make me feel good if
they didn't really mean it.
That's my 2 cents.

Sure, but I think you miss the point. If it weren't for the group,
then we might as well each be sitting in a basement with our copy
of Going Ahead With Extended Color BASIC, writing our own private
masterpiece never to be seen by anyone. If that is what you want,
then why would you even be on the list?
If you can't muster an "attaboy" for other people's projects, well
I guess you have the right to be that way. But if you value the
group, then some simple encouragement and appreciation is warranted.
I believe the group could be doing a better job in that regard.
