[Coco] CoCo3.com Is Gone (Re: Bogus WhoIs Complaint)

The problems coco3.com has had in the past all seemed like standard
botnet/scanning type stuff, the same things every web site has to
defend against, not anything specifically targeted at coco3.com. I
manage lots of sites and they all get scanned, probed,"attacked"
constantly, it's nothing personal, botnets just scan entire ranges of
IP address space looking for sites that are vulnerable.
However, this whois registration stuff is different. This is somebody
specifically trying to cause trouble for Roger for some reason. Being
with GoDaddy, he is in a bad position to defend against such a thing.
They are notorious for imposing fines due to some violation or another
and holding a domain hostage until they are paid. Now that the domain
is suspended, they probably won't release it to another registrar
either.
Basically, somebody is screwing with Roger on purpose and I'll bet
they know that his being with GoDaddy makes the situation much worse.
If Roger doesn't want to pay them off (and I hope he fights them on
this), it could take some time get things sorted out. GoDaddy blows.
