[Coco] Problems with MESS and no one responds back at their own board so who do I contact for help now?

First, have some patience :) It looks like it's only been 24 hours or
so since you posted the message. Side note: It's generally best to
post one message per issue, rather than to lump several things
together. Don't assume the developers understand what you are trying
to do.
Second, the correct place to file a bug report (*if* you are very sure
you have found one) is http://bugzilla.mess.org/
Third, let's try to be very sure you have indeed found a bug and let's
try to explain it in terms that an interested dev could actually take
action on.
For instance, looking at both your post to the MESS board and this
list.. I don't even know what operating system you are running. This
is a critically important detail. You say "when I ran MESS it still
read version 128"... *How* did you "run mess". Via a command? by
clicking on something? what? where?
You also don't state which of the 5-6 different Color Computer
emulations you are using. What is Megabug? What's Rampage? Are
these paks, disks, cassette images? Don't assume a dev is a CoCo
fanatic with inside knowledge of the things you want to do.
Exactly what settings in the emulation have you tried, and do any of
them cause different results? What do you mean by "the sounds come
out completely wrong"? What do they sound like? What similar issues
have you found by searching the bugzilla database and google? What
steps have you taken to attempt to correct the issue?
To obtain support, you must provide specific details that explain how
someone who wanted to help you might recreate the exact situation you
have. It will help to provide examples of what you've done on your
own in an attempt to make sure this isn't a problem you've created
yourself. Show them that you've spent time reading the documentation
that they wrote for you. Show them that you are willing to spend your
own time helping to resolve the issue. Remember that these are
volunteers, kind people who do this because it's fun. Don't make it
"not fun" for them. You'll get nowhere.
