I use up to 1.7 megs of it as a scratchpad automatic ramdisk (it formats
itself and is ready to function about 100 milliseconds after you invoke a dir
/r0 command, and deiniz's when you are done, returning every byte to the
pool), using the myram package I wrote many years ago. However I can move
data from my scsi hard drive at virtually the same speed as the ramdisk with
megaread times of about 12-13 seconds for either, so the only real advantage
is the silence instead of a seacrate 1Gb hawk pinging away when the compiler
is running. It makes you think its actually getting something done when it
sounds so busy.

And some of us are working on getting level3 running, which will give us back
8 to 16k of system ram. So stay tuned as they say. :-)
