Actually the disk drive select bytes are in FD502.DLL, and they are $01 $02 
$04 $40, which indicates 4 single-sided drives.

When the BOOT.BAS programme pokes the values, it messes up the drive table, 
and stops Vcc from working correctly.

If you REM lines 30, 40, 50 and 60, it may work.
