Which is why I much prefer mailing lists and usenet news groups over 
web-based forums. That way _I_ control which posts I keep, and which I 
delete. There are some mailing lists that I have archived back to 2002 - 
safely stored on my HDD and periodically burned to DVD - that no-one else 
can touch. I even go as far as storing an off-site backup occasionally.
