[Coco] Reading DOS Rom

Before I damage something, can anyone confirm that the ROM from a Tandy 
floppy controller can be safely read on an EPROM programmer?  If so, what 
do I setup for?  Is there an actual EPROM part number that uses the same 
pinout as the masked ROM?  Can I simply setup for a 2764 and offset it in 
the socket?
