My understanding is that the DriveWire protocol and DriveWire Server  
are free for anyone to use.  The DriveWire DOS on the CoCo (which is a  
descendant of HDB-DOS, which in turn comes from RGB-DOS) are all  
commercial product.  This DriveWire DOS is what you are paying for and  
is not public.
