<sigh> Solved the problem!  Here's what screwed me up:  The only way I 
ever received credentials from them was by going to the link collection 
and selecting Premium Login.  For some reason, I either didn't get (or 
more likely was simply not seeing) the user settings.

So, yes, after a week's frustration I'm able to batch download using 
Firefox + Down Them All.

I amaze myself sometimes.
