[Coco] Plug-in programs - Popular Science '79 Magazine

Earliest memory I have of the TI99-4 was on a Kmart store display (Nogales
Arizona) back in '79. Soon after the store also had the VIC20 alongside the
TI. Of the two I preferred the TI if at least because of the aesthetics, the
video display of the VIC did not help either.

On that same strip mall the local Radio Shack was a few steps away, I had
become a regular (12 years old) and the manager let me play away with the
Model I which was the coolest computer I had seen at that time anywhere.

When the CoCo showed up in the store, the first thing that got me was the
nuclear green screen, and its clean text display. Yes, only 32 x 16 but a
neat one, far preferable than the VIC's.

I am a fan of all those 8-bit marvels of yesteryear, but to the date I
remain at ease with my decision to wait for the CoCo to become my PC :-)
