While the OS-9 Pascal did appear to be pretty good standard wise, it
just doesn't measure up to a modern optimizing compiler. I know you
aren't suggesting it does... I'm just commenting. It would take a lot
of RAM, storage space and time for a coco to run a modern compiler if
one existed. It would be interesting to see though.

The code generator from the compiler I liked to could be the starting
point of the 6809 code generator for FreePascal but without the object
extensions there would still be a lot of modifications.
