Maybe you ran into this.
"Changed the 128k option to use conventional memory.
The COCO3 emulator requires Expanded (EMS) memory to emulate
512k & 2meg COCO3 systems. If EMS memory is not available the emulator
forces 128k and uses conventional memory. This allows the COCO3
emulator
to run in 128k mode on Windows 2000, XP and MSDOS without installing
EMS drivers."
If you are using WinXP, then try modifying your config.nt file to include
dos=high, umb
device=%SystemRoot%\system32\himem.sys
EMM = B=4000 RAM
files=100
I also found.
"Changed snapshot functions. Pushing [F7] now brings up a snapshot
function screen. This screen allows:
Loading and saving of snapshots (saved machine state)
Loading of .BIN files from the PC directory
Loading of cartridge .PAK files
Saving the COCO screen to a .BMP file."
I still think you need a matching CAR file.
