I guess the only REAL thing I can say, is that after him seeing all the trash you talked about him,
thw worst he could say about you is:

"He will wear himself out soon enough and move along"

That right there, spoke volumes about both of you.
He wouldn't even take a cheap shot at you, all the while you're berating him here, without his even knowing.

As for my request for information, that is the purpose of the eBay
messaging system - to sort out problems BEFORE bidding. There is no
suggestion ANYWHERE on the site that all prices and terms are a take
it or leave it proposition - quite the reverse.

You bid as you wish and I will do as I wish and that includes
notifying anyone I choose of potential problems I see.
