I've done business with him and it was jut fine.  The non issue of this flame war that I see is that he plainly has his shipping costs listed.  Right there to the right of the price.  Yeah, the shipping is a tad high, but it comes down to the issues of value.  If you WANT that item, you take that into account when you see this shipping price.  If item A has 18 bucks of shipping and my budget is 30, I stop bidding at 12.  But it comes down to buy or not buy.  We all want something for nothing.  Give me premium value on my 15 year old Grand Am trade in, but slash the price of the new Silverado.  Etc etc.
Plus, it's really cold in Manitoba right now.  I would definitely factor that in as I carry packages to the Canadian Post.  I was up in Calgary and experience -30f.  I would charge extra for just the time it takes to bundle up in clothing. 
And you two turning this form in to a PG-13 to nearly R rated flame war isn't really necessary, is it?  Just don't buy anything for him.  

Or am I oversimplifying this?
