He was right though. At that time, the CoCo's limit was 64k, and OS-9 took
about 30k or more. D.E.C.B. allowed bank switching, so 64k programs were
possible, and most "RS-DOS" programs were more powerfull than most OS-9
programs. Flex used much less memory than OS-9 and still allowed compatability
with non-CoCo's, like OS-9 did, but more powerfull programs were possible.
Which do you want? A super powerfull os with striped down apps? Or a do-
nothing os with more usefull apps?
The question isn't all that relevant today, of course. With NitrOS-9 Level 2/3
you really can have everything - A super powerfull os, Apps that do
everything...and Flex in a window.
