It used to be that way, but the Linux folks have realized that if they are to
ahve a prayer at knocking MS down a notch or two, that reality had to go.
As stated earlier, the newer distros are much more user friendly, they come
with a ton of software and drivers. My personal favorite ATM is Ubuntu with
SUSE running a close second.
If a person's priority is total compatibility with the MS world.... well....
you guessed it, stay with Windows.
