With a TV rather than an RGB monitor there are only two possibilities. 
One, there is a mismatch between NTSC and PAL hardware. Two, the games 
use artifact colors and you have not correctly selected the color set.

With a Coco 1 or 2, you could just hit the Reset button until a graphic 
had the correct colors. This won't work with a Coco3. The procedure with 
a Coco3 is to hold down the F1 key during power-up to get the alternate 
artifact color set.
