[Coco] CCASM for Linux project

Hey gang,
Manny helped me discover and set up the vnc client for Windows that
lets me see and control my Linux desktop from my Vista computer. I
had been looking for this kind of solution for a while but didn't
quite know what I needed. If I can get it working right I'll
continue debugging the Linux build of my CCASM cross assembler, and
do all of the programming from one computer location.
My problem is follows: Gnome's remote desktop feature starts up and
waits for Vista to connect. There is an initial screen update to the
Vista window representing the Linux desktop. I get one and only one
update. My Vista mouse controls the cursor on the Linux box just
fine and I can even move windows around or perform typical operations
just like I'm siting at that computer. I'm amazed at all of that
except for that fact that I disabled all of my firewalls to get this
to work and it still does not.
Could the firewall on my wireless router be causing Vista to not
receive automatic desktop updates? I'm hoping to get a little help
on this issue, and I'm even running Fedora's update wizard right now
in hopes to grab the latest fixes that might cure this problem. It
marked a huge list of updates so it could take a while even over my
6meg connection. If it takes too long I guess I can abort and
manually update to vino-2.13.5-6.fc6.
