Some questions...

What is a PIF?   I'm assuming a chip but other than that I'm not sure
what you are talking about.  

Is "E" a chip or board revision???  

So, are you saying using the double speed POKE can fry the "PIF" and
if you don't have an "E" whatever it will fry the SAM?

And a reference to multipac and MC-10... is this a Radio Shack MC-10
or a Coco clone???  I'm not sure I'm following exactly what you are
talking about.
