[Coco] Christmas Downunder

Yes, Christmas is different here....

According to legend (and Rolf Harris, Aussie singer/song writer from the
60's), Santa's sleigh is pulled by 6 white boomers... which are big old-man
kangaroos.

Although many people still have the traditional European Christmas dinner,
most have a Christmas lunch of cold-cuts (chicken, ham, salads etc), and
laze around the pool (if they have one) or in air-conditioned comfort.
T-shirts and shorts and thongs (aka flip-flops) are definitely the mode of
dress for the day.

Christmas Carols are sung in the local park, with people sitting around on
the grass, and are led in song by local celebrities (usually singers from
local churches).

Yes, it's different, but all the same, a very pleasant time.

Have a great holiday season.
