Roger (and everyone else),
I agree. This emulator stands up quite well to MESS and the others. The best part is that it writes CoCo disks in a Windows 2000/XP environment. I've read and written numerous 3.5" disks, transfered images to and from disk with little problems. This emulator has got tremedous promise. When last I used it, the sound was a little glitchy, but, the author was supposed to work on that. It's been two months or so since I tried it, but, other than that, it worked very well for me.
And yes, the author posted to the CoCo3.com forums or it was on his website, about the name change some time ago. The was the Bjork emulator. I highly recommend a test drive for those running emulators. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
Later,
Brian

Subject: [Coco] VCC CoCo emulator
Folks, I've been somewhat following the progress of an alternate CoCo
emulator to the established 3 we know as M.E.S.S., DK, and
Vavasour's. Even though those 3 are superb and hard to beat, I think
the new VCC CoCo emulator might be able to stand up to them soon.
VCC pops up in a standard window and seems to have simpler mounting
for cartridges and such. I see the memory range is up to 8mb which I
take to be support for the NoCan memory boards. CPU speed boosting
is possible as well as choosing 6809 or 6309. It looks like the
necessities are there in the window menus.
I can't confirm this but this could be the improved version of the
former "Bjork" CoCo emulator that I have watched grow some over the years.
Anyway, here's the page where it's listed...
