Unfortunately the 68HC11 doesn't run 6809 object code, and lacks (at
least) the U stack pointer. It has similar features from the
programmer's perspective, but can't really be said to be a modern
version of the same CPU as the eZ80 is to the Z80. And it doesn't run
at 50MHz. But an FPGA 6x09 could...
