[Coco] Dead Aussie CCR-82

Hi all,

My dad just snail-mail'd me my old CCR-82 from when I was a boy (It's
some 18 years old)

It hasn't been touched in quite a while, and after testing it out with
both batteries and a DC-6V adapter, it's pretty-much dead

When batteries are in or it's connected to power, it makes a small
humming sound, but doesn't respond to anything (Play, etc)

I'm not the world's most gifted electrician, so was wondering if it's
worth opening it up to see if there's anything obvious (like a dead
conductive insect or something)

Anything I should be looking for in particular? Can anyone diagnose by
remote? Yes I'm pathetic?

Kind Regards,

David Roper
