I believe that flippies where quite common amongst the Commodore PET 
crowd (and prolly the Vic/64 ppl too). Reversable disks was an idea that 
re-surfaced a few years later with the 3" disks that where common on 
Amstrad and later Sinclair machines here in the UK.
