[Coco] Atari SC1224 monitor

I thought that was the Commie series (1084?)... And I thought that was just 
one or both of the sync signals - a single TTL chip (7404 hex inverter) 
would do the trick.

However, here's my recollection of the some of the tandy monitors:

CM-5 - CGA, absolutely pitiful. .52 or .51mm dot pitch, IIRC. Could *not* 
do 80 columns.

CM-8 - CoCo RGB - .42mm dot pitch. Can do 80 column; tho 106 was kinda 
tight. (Yes, there are fonts for OS-9 for a 106 column screen... can be 
handy if you needed to see a wider-than-80 column layout for something.  [[ 
Some people say 80-column was borderline, a few say it wasn't good enough - 
maybe I just have higher-resolution eyeballs, as I've never really had to 
squint or anything at 80-column; and my CM-8 was one of the very first off 
the assembly line - drove 300 miles round trip to buy it.]]

Atari SC1224 (And yes, I have 2 of these, so I have a "vested interest" in 
this thread... ;-) .37mm dot pitch according to Google.

Better, yes, but will it be *that much better* to mod an SC1224, or should 
one "bypass the middleman" and use Roy's adapter to hook to an SVGA monitor?

BTW, Digi-Key still caries 13-pin DIN inline plugs & receptacles, so CoCo3 
cables just for the SC1224 could be pretty easily[1] made.

[1] "Easily" depends a lot on your soldering skills & equipment as I'd bet 
those DIN hoods are pretty packed in there... ;-)
