I'd suspicion thats not 7N1 but 7E1 or 7O1, making use of the parity 
bit.

That would be typical of using a parity bit, either odd or even.

People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word
'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's
stupid bounce rules.  I do use spamassassin too. :-)
