IIRC I inverted my sync pulses as well as combining them.  I did this  
inside my coco 3 and sent the signal to the unused pin on the RGB  
video connector on the coco and routed it into the monitor using a  
custom cable.  Unfortunately I am in the process of moving and both  
my CC3 and the cable are packed away.
