Yes.  Early CoCo 2 were sold in a Color Basic-16k variant.  The CoCo 2 64k
Extended Color basic was released at the beginning too.  It did not take
long for Radio Shack  to drop the 16k Color Basic version since it was
cheaper for Radio Shack to only make, ship, inventory and stock one version.
This translated into a lower price for more machine for the customer.
