Hi,
CoCo Urbane Basic: A Preprocessor for Disk Extended Color Basic for the CoCo
1, 2, 3 and their Emulators.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Urbane is designed to allow any DECB program to be written without line
numbers and with unique variables of any length. All DECB commands and
functions are supported and version 1.060202 is considered complete and
ready for use in writing any DECB program.
I believe that it is ready so it is designated RC0 (Release Candidate 0).
It is also Beta as it has been used for only one program, itself.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Roger Taylor has graciously agreed to host the files. Thanks Roger!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The two HTM files are the source for Urbane and the "Run" version colorized.
If these two files are saved from your browser as text only and the title
line removed from each you have Urbane.
An archive with other files and a JV CoCo 2 Emulator "dsk" file is
available.
I believe that Urbane will run on any CoCo platform with a disk system.
The generated "Run" versions must be run on a CoCo system that matches the
keywords used, from a CoCo 2 with only a Cassette to any CoCo 2 or 3 or
emulator. Additional keywords can be added for DECB add-ons so all of them
should also be supported.
I would like to collect running times and verify that all platforms do not
have any problems.
So, if you have the time, please download the archive and load the "dsk"
file into your emulator or write the image to a disk for use on a real CoCo.
Type RUN"URBANE" and note the running time needed to process the Urbane
source into a "Run" version. There should be NO errors or warnings.
The JV CoCo 2 Emulator running on a 700 Mhz Cpu takes ~ 3:15.
Urbane is a large program with 641 lines, 65 Line Labels and 137 Variables.
Please post your platform, Emulator, Cpu and running times.
Thanks to all in advance.
