Yes,
Assuming you're writing the disk on a 1.2M drive and trying to read it
on a low density CoCo drive, you may be running into head width issues.
In a nutshell, the 1.2M drive writes tracks that are half the width of
the 40 track ones. Your 40 track drive might not be able to read it
properly.
If that's the situation, the best thing to do would be to bulk erase the
disk and try again.
If you move over to 3.5" disks, that problem will go away.
