That is not an issue with djvu files. You (using the Lizardtech reader, 
probably others) can select Text and copy out listings to the Clipboard. 
You can paste these cuttings into MESS to "instantly" create listings.

I just tried this with the Lizardtech browser plug-in and it works very well.
