I have used RETRIEVE to make images of all my OS-9 disks and it worked  quite 
well. 
However, since it was about 10-15 years ago, ISTR that an older version of  
RETRIEVE 
worked better than the later one(s).  I'd need to set up my system  again to 
verify that.
Hopefully I'll get to doing that in the near future.
