But it is open and accessible to all as the mailing list. As far as I
know, Dennis doesn't make it too difficult to join the list. It's just a
matter of clicking a link on the listoptions page, after filling out your
email address.

In the future, though, I can see mail programs supporting true
accessibility options (like screen readers, etc, for the blind) rather
than news clients, and using a screen reader on the web is, I'm sure, a
nightmare.

So how does using the newsgroup make it more "accessible"?
