No one that I contacted had their contracts, not did they remember the
specific terms of the contract.

Have we got confirmation from anyone who published in Hot Coco as to whether
or not the authors assigned their copyrights to the publisher?

This seems a key point, and if it was stated I missed it.

Someone has to have kept their old contracts.
