Several people who don't use Disk Basic have already replaced the Disk 
ROM with an OS-9 boot. Essentially the Coco starts up in the DOS 
command. There is also a special .rom file for the Vavasour emulator 
that makes the emulator start up in OS-9.

I think Boisy has made one of these ROMs for a Coco system.
