Hello all:

I'm going to jump in here concerning the Amiga. The Amiga had two kinds of
1084 monitors. All Amiga had the DB23 video out on the back of the comuter.
If the 1084 had the DB9 input connector, that was the one that had sync
problems with the CoCo. The other style 1084 had the DIN style input plug,
and that one can be used with the CoCo unmodified. I've used that kind of
1084 monitor with my Amigas and CoCos since 1985. That monitor is nothing
more than a rebadged Magnavox Professional 80 monitor. Thats what I'm using
today because my last official Commie 1084 died a couple years ago. That
monitor work perfectly on the Amiga and CoCo. I also use an external scan
doubler that plugs directly into the DB23 video out onthe back of my Amiga
4000. It gets very hot, but has worked reliable for years. I never thought
about using it with the CoCo3. I'd have to learn the pinouts and all that
rot. Of course, that will not help CoCo 1s or 2s, unless they were modified
to output RGB. I had one that I added that modification to a long time ago,
but it has since died and has been buried.
